لقد انخرطت دولة قطر، بقوة في النظام الدولي والإقليمي، وأصبحت لها مكانة متميزة في تدبير الخلافات وإدارة النزاعات بين الأطراف الدولية، مستخدمة في ذلك ما تتيحه لها إمكانياتها المادية والمالية والاستراتيجية، ومعتمدة على توابث رئيسية مستمدة من قوانين البلاد ودستورها الدائم، ومبادئ الشريعة الإسلامية ووظيفتها الحضارية. لذلك، فإن المقاربة الإقليمية القطرية الحديثة والمدعومة من الدبلوماسية المكثفة من شأنها أن تقطع شوطاً كبيراً في الحد من احتمالات نشوب صراع أوسع، وتصب كلها في أمن الخليج بكافة أطرافه، في سبيل تحقيق أمن خليجي موحد ومستقر على المدى البعيد.
