تناولنا في هذه الدّراسة "انعكاسات النوع الاجتماعي في الأدب الخليجيّ عامّة، والأدب العُمانيّ خاصّة، من خلال دراسة رواية "الباغ" للرّوائيّة العُمانيّة "بشرى خلفان". وقد كان اختيارنا لدراسة هذا الأثر دون غيره، أنّه يمثّل تصويرا واضحا وصريحا لنقد الانعكاس في الأدب النسوي؛ بما هو انعكاس يُرسّخ لمفهوم الفوارق الاجتماعيّة والثّقافيّة بين الرّجل والمرأة. في انتصار واضح لمفهوم المجتمع الذّكوريّ، وسلطة العادات والتّقاليد العربيّة. إنّ رواية "باغ" تُعدُّ نموذجا لمناهضة ومحاربة هذا من الأدب، بلغة أنثويّة مخصوصة، وبأساليب فنيّة متميّزة، ينصهر فيها التّاريخيّ بالأدبيّ والعاطفيّ بالاجتماعيّ؛ لتُولّدَ لنا نصّا فنيّا مميّزا يعالج قضايا المرأة وتطلّعاتها.
