نستكشف من خلال هذا البحث الفراغ الكائن وعدم الوضوح بخصوص طرائق وكيفيات التدخل المهني والعملي لإطار المختص(ة) الاجتماعي(ة)، وتداعيات هذا الفراغ على المزاولة المهنية للعمل الاجتماعي بالمجال المدرسي الذي من شأنه ان يضعف هذا الدور الحيوي ويحول دون تحقيق الأدوار المنوطة بهذه الوظيفة، بل تتمثل أيضا في عدم القدرة على تعريف ماهية "الأخصائي الاجتماعي بالمجال المدرسي المغربي". كما نرمي إلى وضع معايير وضوابط شاملة على غرار تلك الموجودة في دول رائدة مثل كندا، وسويسرا، والسويد، والولايات المتحدة الأمريكية والعديد من دول الخليج ومصر، تهدف إلى تطوير نموذج للمهنة. يمكن استخدام هذا النموذج لتحديد الفوارق والكشف عن الثغرات من خلال استراتيجيات المقارنة والتحليل.
