يستعرض هذا البحث الخصائص الجوهرية لمنهج أهل السنة والجماعة في تقرير العقيدة، مؤكداً على أصالته القائمة على وحدة مصدر الوحي (الكتاب والسنة) وتقديم النقل على العقل وفق رؤية تسليمية، مع إبراز وسطية المنهج في القضايا العقدية الكبرى. كما يوضح البحث الأصول التفسيرية لآيات العقيدة وهي: القرآن الكريم، والسنة النبوية، والإجماع العقدي، ودلالة النظر العقلي الصريح.
