يُعد "مبحث السلوك" عند السادة الصوفية الركن الأساس لممارستهم الدينية، فهو الجانب العملي الذي يترجم المعارف الذوقية إلى واقع ملموس، وينقل المريد من حيز "علم الأوراق" إلى فضاء "علم الأذواق". إن السلوك ليس مجرد سيرٍ مادي، بل هو رحلة نفسية وروحية تهدف إلى تزكية النفس وتصفية القلب للوصول إلى مقام المشاهدة والمعرفة اليقينية بالله.
