انخرطت موريتانيا في المبادرة الأطلسية المغربية التي تهدف الى بناء شراكات اقتصادية متينة مع دول الجنوب وفق منطق رابح-رابح. وبالتالي فأمام موريتانيا فرص مهمة تجنيها من هذه المبادرة الاستراتيجية، ولكن أيضا، يواجه الاقتصاد الموريتاني تحديات أخرى قد تحول دون تعظيم استفادته من هذه الفرص. مما يستدعي من موريتانيا معالجة نقط القصور والاختلال وتعزيز قدرة اقتصادها على مواكبة التغيرات الإقليمية التي ستحدثها هذه الشراكة الاستراتيجية.
